The 2010 GMC Acadia Comes With a DOHC V6 Engine

The engine for the large crossover SUV, the GMC Acadia, is the same LLT dual overhead cam (DOHC) engine as its predecessor and powers all the Acadia styles. The 3.6 Liter displacement engine is a direct injected V6 with 4 valves in each cylinder controlled with variable valve timing and camshaft technology. This engine produces a maximum 6,300 horsepower at 3,400 rpm. Its maximum torque is delivered at 3,400 rpm. With a 94 mm bore and 85.6 mm stroke, the engine has a compression ratio of 11.3, making Acadia capable of an impressive 1,689 pound payload and a tow load of 5,200 pounds.
